Did anyone wonder why the council meeting was canceled last night? The roads werent that bad. All the events in the area werent cancelled. But council was.
Daryl makes Abe wonder. Did you cancel the meeting to buy Tuerk some more time to get votes? Or because you don't want to hear the public complain to you?
Odd though, Tuerk could come up with another 50k to throw at the Conference of Churches to help the homeless. I am all about helping others however, is this an attempt to buy CeCe Gerlach's vote? She is the most passionate councilmember in regards to the homeless.
The ironic part is that Tuerk was busy making so many deals to get support for his budget he should have offered CeCe his endorsement for her yes vote. Instead, according to LehighValley News Tuerk, is endorsing Nepobaby Julian Guridy over Cece.
But why would Daryl cancel a meeting when the SEIU workers do such a good job and had the streets clear? Doesnt make sense.
But what if this is their mentality if they dont get a good contract?

Tuerk is a slimy one, isn't he? I read this blog and watch his actions in the community and on media and I do not understand how he was reelected. He is so wrong for Allentown. I am deeply saddened that the SEIU employees are being treated so unfairly when he hands Fire and Police the keys to the kingdom. Now he is playing quid pro quo with taxpayer dollars? If true, he needs to look at our previous mayor’s term and see that did not end well for him. I don't mean O’Connell either, he wasn’t a mayor-he was simply a substitute and placeholder.
I sort of hope they dont get a contract, and a huge storm comes and they strike. It would show what kind of turd is really running this city

My hopes are that the new council sees that Tuerk is a stupid fuck and doesn’t fall for his ‘smarter than thou’ bs. He was an unpopular child who grew up to be even more unpopular as an adult . Somehow he thinks because he surrounds himself on the mayor’s floor with pretty girls, and one gray skinned zombie looking gutter rat, that he is somehow now popular.

Funny, but those pictures look like my street... a snow emergency route!!! Twice in past years our TWO lane emergency route was ONE lane right down the middle with feet of snow piled against the cars. Interestingly, it was decided to implement year round street sweeping with the express reason stated "that way we can plow snow" on the side scheduled for sweeping. They may do that somewhere, but NOT on my street... EVER!!! The year round sweeping schedule, however, has been a financial boon for the parking authority. It all boils down to the money in this city.
