Ask and Maybe you shall Recieve

 Happy Presidents Day Abe!!!

Finally, something positive to write about. The city has created a data center aimed at handling Right to know requests.

The data hub created will allow people to research different things to include:

City code cases, city building permits and city rental licenses.

I am not sure the extent of what will be able to be seen on this hub but I am sure it is limited.

Now I do think this is a great idea...But.

I would imagine people will be looking up things on busineeses and their neighbors all the time.

The code office will be smothered with complaints as people report on things. So the city might want to hire more code enforcement officers.

Also, will the Curtis Files be able to be seen on this Hub?? Its okay, the files will be out on their own. Give it time.

I do find it rather concerning that the rise of RTK requests is on the rise every year. The city claims the rise reflects the growing public interest in access to city records. I would think its because people are tired of all the corruption and wasteful spending and want to know the truth. RTK requests to me mean the city isnt transparent enough so people have to go the legal route to get the information.

Also, the snow removal is just embarrasing at this point.  Who is really in charge of this shit?  Do they just pick random streets to remove snow?  I read they just hit N. 6th St.  How in the hell did they just get to 6th st?  Its been like 3 weeks since the storm. The eastside, west end and southside have zero chance of getting any removal.  Or basically all the tax payers, working class arent getting any services.

ABE they are simulating there covid lock down trick again on the ignorant public with there scare tactics. One lane streets help them get the escapes from the asylum once known as allentown pa were the inmates are in charge.

People need to hold the PW director and mayor accountable, neither have any clue on how to remove snow in critical areas. Remember 2016 we had 30” and were able to move freely in week !! What happened?? I know new leadership!!! Wow we have problems!! Get rid of these clowns!!!

They had better stock up on black ink for the multitudes of redactions!!! They charge a ridiculous price for something that is 100% produced by people we employ. You would think it would be a no charge deal since we paid for the employees, the computer systems, the building, the paper and anything else involved... must be for the black ink!!! What say thee???

It would be helpful if people showed up to City Council instead of constantly complaining on a blog.

It might be if the little shits listened or cared what the taxpayers think. They know best... NOT!!!

Yet another complete waste of time, money and effort. Collecting data means absolutely nothing if you do nothing with it to better the community or workplace. There isn’t anyone in the city administration that knows how to analyze data and if there was someone, the mayor would squash anything that benefits the citizens. The city has done many climate surveys and studies and they did nothing but waste time and money.
Vicky Kistler and Mark Shahda are notorious for wasting taxpayer money on unnecessary studies just so they can buy more time because they are unable to deliver anything to the community on their own.
The mayor has had several climate surveys and they continue to come back with the same answer. He and his administration are nasty people who are in over their heads. They don’t like the results so they go nowhere.
The answer is to vote them all out of our city government.
The citizens have the power to remove them all from office and send a message that this type of government will not be commonplace in Allentown.

This kistler and shahda things are one in the same just punching a time clock as a bunch of know nothings that have covered crimes administrativly against good people no gone. In some cases it could be considered institutional crime and class action lawsuits and others could be considered crimes against humanity, and just think one was in charge of allentowns heath board? The whole picture has made no sense since the insemination of such creatures into public services.

Listening to CED committee meeting tonight about Allentown Works . Why does CED always talk about how they envision something to look like but in the end all they really do is send grant money to “partners” with no real tangible and verifiable results? Everything is a future dashboard and “we are working on it”.
The director and her team should start selling bridges. Seems to me like Ms Kistler talks slow and low but is just spewing bullshit. They claim that only Allentown residents will be eligible for jobs created by Allentown Works.
The exact words were “we commit to you that the only personnel that will be hired are Allentown residents “.
Then later there was a caveat “well, we cant guarantee because there are no qualified candidates”.
There you go Allentown-they will always find a reason to say the resource isn't available in Allentown.

Ms Kistler made it seem that this Allentown Works partnership may not be successful because there isn’t enough money.
So, let’s waste it and see! Typical Allentown approach.

Not to mention Ms Kistler and her administrative costs right off the top for the implementation of yet another farce sold as progressiveness for allentowns public.

Mr Shahda is most OVERRATED and OVERPAID employee this city has, this is what the mayor loves about him , YES man with no thought process, otherwise this city would look much better than it does 3 weeks after 12 “ snowstorm it’s ridiculous.

Good thing he got 9k increase bc the mayor would hate to loose him to another municipality.

Mark Shahda is not qualified to be in his position, but he has a quality Tuerk looks for in all managers— compliant. Mix that with obedient and you have a perfect lap dog. He takes off more than he is at work, especially during the warm months.

More overrated and overpaid than Vicky Kistler and Bina Patel? Also the HR director doesn’t even have HR qualifications. I would think a few people are ahead of Marc but not far.

Easter Egg Dud

Did anyone go to the Mayor's Easter egg Hunt?  I did.  What a horrible showing.  Where was everyone? I remember years past, hundreds of ...
