I hate talking about Flags

I dont know why the flags in Allentown bothers me so much. Maybe because Im patriotic.  The U.S represents alot of things. Freedom, lost lives, respect, honor. The list goes on and on.

The other day I was driving down Hamilton St. past city hall.  I couldnt help but look over hoping to get a celebrity sighting.   You know, Tuerk, Mota, or Patel.

Unfortunately, I didnt see any but what I did notice is the Pride Flag hung in front of City Hall. This isnt the first time I have seen the Pride flag hung there.

Why?  Nothing against gays or homosexuals.  The old coverup saying, "I have a gay friend." Well I have a couple and respect their choices so this isnt about me hating on gay people.

However, I am passionate about being proper.  There was no flag raising that day or any days I have seen it flown. So I ask why is the Pride flag being hung all the time in front of the city hall building?

I can only surmise Mayor Tuerk is in charge of what flags get raised and at what height.  Matt why are you so passionate about hanging the Pride Flag?

Once again,  I am all for hanging flags.  But I feel they should be done at appropriate locations. A memorial, celebration, or recognition of some type.  In front of City hall?  No. American, State, and County or City flag is appropriate.

I guess the Mayor wants all people to feel included or welcomed at City Hall?? Well then you better make city hall look like this so everyone feels welcomed.

More importantly why does the mayor fly the flag in a place of disrespect. The US flag should never have another flag to its right.
