Another set of congratulations are in order. My sources tell me that Michaela Boyer has been promoted in the Mayor’s Office to the Civic Innovation Manager position. I hope that Ms Boyer is truly interested in fulfilling the responsibilities tasked within the job description, and that this isn’t another misstep with our tax dollars by the Tuerk Administration. Or in normal words. A WASTE OF MONEY!!! It almost seems this girl has something on Matt. How does one get on the fast track to city leadership like she has? Is there an apprenticeship or internship available?

Every local government should have a Civic Innovation Manager! It's bad enough that the City tax payers pay nearly $100,000 a year plus benefits plus membership and travel expenses for US Conference of Mayors to a ceremonial figurehead who is hiring a professional City Manager [OK...a patronage bureaucrat] to run the city. Now we have to implement all the ridiculous ideas and concepts from the US Conference of Mayors like Civic Innovation Manager. It's a regional embarrassment that Allentown needlessly wastes so much money this way.
what innovative ideas have the Tuerk administration introduced that has delivered any impactful improvements to the quality of life for city residents? i can only recall the decisions that made my taxes increase.

Do not be fooled by this action. Tuerk has been trying to promote her for years. The council meetings prove it to be fact. This “promotion” is a cash grab for the employee and a reward from him for being a loyal servant, nothing less.
Congratulations to Ms. Boyer. It appears that her hard work, dedication, and mild temper tantrums have finally been rewarded. Maybe now she will “show up” for Allentown?
When unqualified people get promoted its either a favor to someone or the person has dirt on the other.
Tuerk promotes mediocrity. Not necessarily a favor or dirt. It just another Tuerk standard.
“Fire experienced and high caliber performers so we can promote complete dead weight” The “All Inspiring” city slogan should be amended to “All Aspiring - to Stay Meh”
Why should anyone even care about this girl or what she does or doesn't do? Obviously Tuerk likes her around, and he only has three years and nine months remaining.
