Plausible Deniability?

As expected, Duane Morris would not share any info.  So who knows if they found harassment, discrimination or signs of a hostile work environment by employees working for the city of allentown. I am sure they did. There was mention of some isolated discrimination cases but they were taken care of.  So everything is cool, lol. Especially based off of their common sense  recommendations, I can see how this money was well spent.

Im going to summarize some of  them cause this was the biggest waste of money I ever saw by the City.

1. City needs anti-discrimination training. Really? But ai thought there was no issues?  A data management system since I guess no one logs any complaints anywhere. Go figure hence why there are no complaints to be found. And bunch of other things that should have been already implemented.

2. Lets see H.R. needs help. Alot of help in basically everything.  Didnt see that one coming.

3. Per Councilman Hendricks he vowed Council will back up the people or something.  I stopped listening while he spoke. SORRY.

Basically, the city needs better training on how to treat its employees like decent humans.  Being 2025 I can see why the 3rd largest city hasnt implemented basic manners and fairness to its employees.   What Morris shared is common sense.  People dont treat this like some type of epiphany these lawyers just had. H.R. from what I hear simple does not do their jobs.  They dont handle complaints.  The department heads bury the problems.

Morris reps famous quote:

I dont even want to write about this.  But too quickly summarize how we got here. Scott Curtis, former FBI agent was hired to investigate mentioned claims.

Mayor Tuerk and some council members realized Curtis's report would bury them.  They came up with some excuse as to why the Curtis procurement process was illegal and said they didn't want to use his report.  So they pay Curtis off  and add a non-disclosure clause and hire the Duane Morris firm.

Total cost Curtis - $60-$70k

Duane Morris- $350k with 2 months not invoiced yet. Est $450-$500

When it comes down to it all, the Mayor, H.R department, Police Chief, city council and others realized Curtis would expose their corruptions and possible illegal acts.

This cost the tax payers 100s of thousands just so these people could keep their jobs.  Dirtier than a farmers underwear after working 16hrs in the field.

If the city paid for something, it should be usable and accessible to all.  Even if the procurement process may have been incorrect.

Everything is a "personnel issue" is total bullshit.  How cant you answer if you found any discrimination, retaliation, or unfair treatment of employees!!! You were paid over $400,000.  This appears like a coverup.

How employees must feel:

Sorry but how anyone could vote for Mayor Tuerk or any of these council members is beyond me. They only have their best interest at hand and only care about themselves.

Once the investigation changed direction Daryl's kid got a nice promotion over much more qualified employees. Thank God he'll be gone. If they are smart the rest of the city employees should never forget this day. Absolute power corrupts absolutely!

I was very disappointed today with the findings. How can anyone believe there is no discrimination or workplace issues in the 3rd biggest city in Pa. That blows my mind

They didn’t say there is absolutely no discrimination. It was stated that there is no evidence of systemic discrimination and most importantly, not at the hands of the mayor.

Shut up loser. Quit defending the mayor from his office. We all know there is discrimination and a the city is a hostile work environment for its employees. Why the heck would there be a need for 2 studies if their wasnt a ton of problems??

The cisternious study is just that bought and paid for by administational walking dick with ears to find no copablity on his part as he orders discrimination up from the fifth floor. Long winded but why was there two cops on council at one time so they could protect the brotherhoodlums.

When does Allentown Truth live up to its namesake and start delivering the truth? A lot of what has been published seems to be assumption and bullying.

Allentown politicians are just like State and Federal politicians. They are only good at 2 things. First, foolishly handing out taxpayer dollars. Second, hiding inconvenient truths that might reveal their incompetence.

So, are you being served? NO !

Are your whittle feelings hurt? I'll comfort you with the Truth. It must be reeely scarwee knowing that you must be one that is getting called out on here.

Allentown Truth - the Fox News of blogs

I don't like Daryl but this isn't true.

Now Tuerk will have a reason to try to raise taxes again. And Daryl will be exiting council so he will vote yes.

Why isn't anyone demanding an answer? 69 News said that the city paid Curtis $50,000.00
BUT- THEY MADE HIM SIGN A DO NOT DISCLOSE
LETTER. WHY ???

Anonymous said...

Do your research.. It's true.

Like Abe said Plausible Deniability. Curtis report obviously has things that the Mayor doesnt want released. Any idiot can see that.

I sat down this morning after picking up my Starbucks and went in the office to start my normal day of reading blogs, watercolors and ignoring everything work.

I opened this blog and dropped my coffee in my lap from laughing so hard. This is such great entertainment and as someone who does anything but work I enjoy this break.

I have to leave for the day now and go retrain the Barista for making my coffee so hot. It was outside Starbucks safe standards.

Have a great day everyone

Allentown is filled with a lot of do nothing's while reaping as much as possible both financially as well as in kind large gifts and such that pay off for years to come!

Let's hope that employee who filed a human relations complaint against the city sues in court and subpoenas the Duane Morris report as part of discovery.

The city paid money because our Council three horsemen (Zucal, Santos, Gerlach) charged forward and authorized Curtis without a proper contract. He performed unauthorized services. The choice the mayor had was to make the council pay for an unauthorized contract individually or have the city pay. In return the city owns his report and can do whatever they want with it. Even if that is never letting it see the daylight again.

If you use tax dollars for a report, the People are entitled to see it. Right to know then suing will easily get a copy. Sounds shady and a coverup.

Try Hendricks not Santos moron.

Anonymous said...

Aren't we assuming that there is something in that report that would help their case? It could have a negative effect, especially if the DM report shows they were the problem.

Oh silly, I am not at all affiliated with the mayor in any way. I just come to this blog to laugh at the uneducated haters who are holding on feverishly to a hope that has failed.
The mayor is doing so many great things for this city and bringing it to modern day instead of the “PA Dutch and Irish” times (white) that has driven the city down the drain. I can’t wait to cast my vote in November for MATT TUERK.

Your the only one that seems to support him. Guys a joke. Nothing to be uneducated about. The facts are all there. You just dont like them. Modern day? Say that when the city goes bankrupt from this bond he wants and the taxes go thru the roof. Must be a Dem.

You are just so small., Must be a republican.
Matt Tuerk inherited this mess from poor leaders previously. Matt Tuerk can’t do anything without council approval.
The city is not going bankrupt… It can always raise taxes.

Abe - I have to comment on your three items above. I promise to keep it short.

1. Anti-discrimination training? Training doesn’t fix the issue if people have biases and prejudice. The action that needs to be taken is the eradication of anyone who discriminates, retaliates, or bullies another. Zero Tolerance is more than words on a policy statement. If you violate and a due process proves you are guilty, you’re gone. See you at your unemployment hearing.

2. HR is a mess and continues to be a mess. It may be worse.

3. It is easy to make promises when you are out the door (thank God) in 3 months. Hendricks will make many more promises before his Council access card is deactivated. He is a joke and many people are looking forward to his last day.

No you didn't!!! Haha. She is a useless, clueless, little child. Has no right being in her position with her qualifications. Maybe Tuerk should open a coffee bar in the lobby of City Hall. :)

The whole of all things Allentown is a administrative detective design from top to bottom.

Even a Right to Know is subject to redaction, you moron….especially when it deals with personnel matters. Don’t believe it? Type this in Google “pa right to know exempt records”.

Personal information, investigative records, personally identifiable information are exempt. That report will never be released or see the light of day again.

Educate yourself before claiming to be an expert. You look foolish.

Well if your piece of shit mayor wasnt such a corrupt, last to be picked at everything, fake ass hispanic, trying to fit in his whole life, big ego little peepee having dork had any leadership or conscious to see he is hated by his employees he would give the report up.

Honest Abe said...

Im just going to say, what makes anyone think Curtis didnt give up the report to someone before he signed the non disclosure? T

If he did leak the information before settling with the city, he is a fool too. There is this little legal term called Breach of Confidence clause . It protects the confidentiality of the investigation and FLEO and Scott Curtis just may end up paying the city for damages….BIGLY (for you Trump lovers).

We could dedicate one of the holding cells in the new police station in his honor.
