Lets start off with the big news. Another homicide in the city without crime. A 19 year old killed. Is this the 1st or 2nd homicide for the year? Mayb more I dont know. So many shootings its hard to keep track.
Then, drum roll, some kids were arrested for damaging the parkway lights. Glad APD finally made some arrests. Didnt that happen like 6 weeks ago? Seems like the evidence isnt great if it takes that long. We will probably never know the punishment of these heathens, but as I read somewhere "I guess these kids aren't getting their allowance for awhile." Lmao
Make them do community service, like picking up trash in the parkway after the out of staters destroy the shorelines in the summer. Mommy and Daddy paying the bill doesnt teach a lesson. Actually make them have to help put up the lights next year.
Onward, did anyone see that dumb welcoming arch in the 1100blk of Hamilton St? I cant believe the city actually went thru with wasting the money on it. That sign should say "Careful, you are entering into a warzone."
Now for the Snow Emergency. Rumor has it Tuerk agreed to a contract with SEIU. Coincidentally, right before the huge snow storm. Mayb the possible threat of a strike made him give in. Im sure the contract was status quo and nothing more than what the city was planning to give them all along. There are threats of cars being towed in snow emergency routes so watch were you park. However, please throw your snow in the street. Save spaces with chairs like in Philly. And if your neighbor wants to fight with you over the snow, hit em with a snowball.

As part of the snow emergency, the Mayor has also ordered that beginning at 8 am on Saturday, all chalk outlines have to be in Navy Blue.
Homicide, lights camera action look at me face timing from the front of my home do nothing mayor. Trying to get a few followers that are just bots created from my familes different ip numbers as well as mine using fake made up chacitures.
Sounds like the mayor got scared in 11 th hr of contract talks , it’s hard enough having mangers with no knowledge leet lone having labor stoppage. He did the wise thing and came to his senses.
That motherfu(ker can't even stop putting his face on the screen grifting let alone negotiate a contract.
Kids are not they broke the law so they should be punished to the fullest extent. They’re damaging a display for the community and And it says a lot about the type of people they are and their parents are by allowing them to come into Allentown to damage property. I hope they have to pay and work lights in the parkway as part of their sentence.
Under the be careful what you wish for category... we have been bellyaching about the piss poor snow removal in Allentown for years... this storm they declared a snow emergency and low and behold the police were out multiple times on the bullhorn telling us to vacate our spots or face ticketing and towing... ONE BIG PROBLEM: we have to move by 11:00AM but the many decks only OPEN at 8:00PM!!! Yes, the deck by the court house opened at noon but that isn't necessarily convenient for most folks. WHY wouldn't the decks be opened UP AT 11:00 OR EARLIER to facilitate a smooth transition and get the cars off the street??? Once again, this city has it's head waaay up it's arse... why make something easy when you can make it utterly difficult???? Personally, I don't think the left hand knows what the right hand is doing in this city... more horse's asses than horse's heads.
It also begs the next question... if they can send cruisers out (at least four times!!!) to blow their horns and make PA announcements, why can't these same cruisers address LOUD exhaust system noise, rolling speaker cars, running stop signs, running red lights at speed and SPEEDING??? WTF??? SMH!!! Let's get on the ball, gents!!!
The arch is so ugly. I wonder what punk rock font Tuerk chose for the words.
The mayor paying alot of police overtime to ticket and tow everyone in the city. Hope a plow truck knocks over that "Welcome to the dump Tuerk Built" arch.
Yea ABE that militant fruit loop shit has got to go, that is not the main issue now though right now the snow needs to be truck away not just keeping replowing people in over and over. Start trucking it away today for a efficient run public works yet the mayor has other ideas for the money reeped by calling a snow emergency maybe another militant gesture against the people of Allentown telling them f you. This while face timing shoveling out that piece of shit mustang because it was just being charged before the storm.
Calling a snow emergency didn’t seem to help. This is the worst plowing job I’ve ever seen, and this isn’t nearly the most snow the city’s ever had.
It obviously was poorly executed because the Mayor had to give city hall workers off today. Had the roads been plowed properly, workers there should have easily been able to drive to their parking deck adjacent to City Hall or one of the other decks in the area.
Just another incredibly bad job by the worst mayor in the history of Allentown.
I agree the removal could have been way smoother. The decks should have opened the same time or earlier than the emergency started. It seems the reason they weren't opened earlier was to accommodate a game at the PPL center... the decks were nearly full at 8PM when I went to park there. We're still waiting on our "snow emergency route" to see curb to curb plowing. As it stands, there is at least 2 feet of snow to be cleared to hit the curb, otherwise we will have to park partly in the travel lanes... this is unacceptable considering the streets are vehicle free and have been for some time.
There was a web page that gave all the info one needed to make informed decisions on snow removal... no longer. They revamped the Allentown web pages to the point of being useless and devoid of any useful information. Yes, they're pretty... pretty useless!!! Nice job, Allentown!!!
Well, here we go again... on the same web page, APA Facebook, one notice says emergency is over... next notice says its in effect till further notice!!! Typical Allentown bullshit.
We're still waiting for curb to curb, not 2 feet from the curb plowing. Someone needs to tell the the plow drivers to turn the wheels toward the curb....
Than every tax payer will be able to sue mayor and his agents for damages to private property. This will negate any taxes to allentown and allentown school district as well as lehighcounty.
They better hire some job coordinator and start clearing streets working with APA and city streets dept as this type of shit disrupts enjoyment to ones private property.

Hey Abe
Check into why there doing snow removal on Hamilton st , when you can’t even get up 15 th street??? Must be mayor’s wish
Stupid kids, I am sure those lights are covered by insurance. Drop the charges, and make them do community service. What point does trying to hurt their future for some 20 year old Walmart lights prove?
