Follow-through, accountability, and attention are basic requirements of your job.
We are approaching June 1, I haven't heard CeCe bring up homeless issues for a while. Wasn't there an agreement to have it all fixed by June 1st? Or now that she won the Dem primary has she given up because she got what she wanted? If so, she is no different than Tuerk. Promises made, promises forgotten.
I read a dirt bike article on the Morning Call website recently and Chief Roca was claiming that there were 161 calls related to dirt bikes this year as compared to 83 last year. 83 seems like a very low number. When you look at the police crime dashboard it has a much higher amount of calls.
Either your numbers are wrong or your crime analysts need to step up the data crunch efforts and correct the errors so more accurate information is reported to the community.
Senator Miller wants to pass a law allowing local municipalities to be able to seize dirt bikes. Currently only APD can. My question is... isn't there a dirt bike task force? With all the technology the city claims it has one would thinking catching these people wouldn’t be hard.
Disappointment is in the running for the word of 2026.
Lastly, since government must go on. I'll leave you with a thought. How about Ed Zucal?

3. A 6th grade education would teach YOU that a poor performing public servant is subject to scrutiny, accountability, and public criticism.

We are harassed daily by motorbikes but I've long given up on the APD being responsive or proactive on the issue (or even being present and visible). At this point, there is no law enforcement oversight that I'm aware of, as cars with tinted windows speed, run stop signs and double park at will. I've assumed that Tuerk wants dirt bikes in the streets as well as tinted windows, speeding, stop sign running, burbe tuners and double parking as part of the cultural traditions of the homelands. He and his baggage handler [Boyer] may even brag about reduced law enforcement for such issues at the California Mayors junkets. Has Frank Kane ever even managed a municipality before?????

7:48AM - Sorry for the conditions outside your door you are forced to tolerate. The real question is “Why are such a wide variety of ‘minor’ crimes in Allentown allowed to continue without challenge?” Your tax dollars deserve greater respect than this!
I hold the failing MORNING CALL partly responsible. In simpler times, such neglect by a city administration and its paid operatives would have been met with straightforward confrontation by local media reporters and editorial writers. Call them out directly, name names, ask the difficult questions, etc.
Sometimes, incompetent, lazy persons placed in authority need to be publicly EMBARRASSED to shame them into better performance. Who better to lead this charge than entities like the Morning Call? What’s the hold-up here, Morning Call? Is it cowardice, fear, bribery?
Sometimes I think we have no local newspaper. I pay dearly for something to come to my door every day, but really, what good is it, if it does not serve to make my LOCAL situation more comfortable and tolerable to want to even live here. 95% of what’s in that paper is simply lifted from some other source. Are there no more than a dozen employees even working there?
Shame on the Morning Call for its silence while Allentown quality of life crumbles right outside its own doors.
